YUEJIAN CHINA · A DEEPER CONNECTION
Shanghai,
at your own pace.
Look across the river from the Bund, then slow down over a neighbourhood meal. Make room for both the landmarks and the city between them.

How long should you stay?
Make time for what matters.
A first visit, at your pace
Keep arrival day for the transfer, check-in and a meal nearby. Pair the Bund with the Yuyuan area on one full day; use another for a museum or neighbourhood. Avoid stacking an airport arrival, an intercity transfer and an evening outing into one day.
Two days, three days, or a Jiangnan journey?
Two full days suit a focused city visit. Three give you room for neighbourhoods, meals and a weather alternative. A six-day trip that also includes Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi and Wuzhen involves several transfers: choose breadth or fewer stops. These are planning suggestions, excluding international flights.
Travelling with parents
The Bund still involves walking; a car cannot stop beside every viewpoint. Ask about drop-off points, walking sections and rest stops. Compare hotel lifts, showers, bed types, breakfast and nearby dining. A central location does not automatically mean a quiet room.
What to settle before booking
A garden admission ticket and a walk around the City God Temple area are different arrangements. Observation decks, river cruises and specialist guiding also need to be specified. Share your month, group size and two priorities to decide whether to stay in Shanghai or combine it with Jiangnan.
