A little preparation goes a long way.

Start in English or Chinese, and consider documents, school schedules and family needs separately.

Residence is not passport eligibility

The Singapore–China arrangement covers eligible ordinary passport holders, with the official notice describing visa exemption for stays of up to 30 days. Singapore residents holding another passport must check their own documents. Recheck purpose, conditions and current notices before travel.

Count full days in a family holiday

Include flight arrival and departure times. Six days do not need to include Shanghai, every Jiangnan city and Beijing. Focusing on one region reduces transfers and leaves more space for children and older relatives.

Language and rooms

Some family members may prefer English and others Chinese. Specify the language needed for communication and guiding; English-guide dates and costs need confirmation. Quote rooms for the actual adults and children rather than assuming all family rooms have the same occupancy.

Payments and budget

Specify RMB or Singapore dollars in the quote, including exchange handling, payment methods and inclusions. If using an overseas wallet, check its mainland coverage with the provider and keep a card or cash backup.

Rules and interfaces can change. Check the provider before you travel.
