A little preparation goes a long way.
The right map pin is only the beginning. Exits, group size and luggage matter too.
Before requesting a city ride
Save the destination’s Chinese name and full address, and check that the pickup pin matches your actual entrance. Station exits can be far apart. After booking through an available ride-hailing tool, match the plate and vehicle details before boarding.
Count bags as well as people
Four passengers with large cases may need a larger vehicle. Ask based on luggage as well as seats. Child seats, wheelchairs, oversized bags and intermediate stops should be arranged explicitly.
Six pickup details
Confirm airport and terminal, flight number, scheduled arrival, meeting point, included waiting and extra charges, and the flight-delay procedure. Landing time is not the same as the time you reach the arrivals exit.
If you cannot find the driver
Stay at a recognisable location and share the exit number or sign. Contact the agreed person rather than both parties moving around. Check before changing vehicles or leaving independently to avoid duplicate charges.
